Andrew Stevens anchors CNN’s prime-time evening news and business show, "World News Asia". Live from CNN’s regional production center in Hong Kong, "World News Asia" reports and updates the day’s leading news and business stories from across the region and around the world.

Stevens has been an anchor/correspondent for CNN since joining the network in 1999. He has interviewed key opinion-makers and business leaders across the region and reported on business and economic developments from most parts of Asia.

Stevens has covered many of the significant events and issues shaping the region. During the war in Iraq, he co-anchored CNN’s coverage from Hong Kong; and to mark the 50th anniversary of the Korean War, Stevens filed special reports from South Korea, examining economic and social and economic issues in the country today. He also covered the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) epidemic in Asia early in 2003.

Stevens has been reporting on Asian business and economic news for 10 years. He joined CNN from CNBC Asia in 1999, where he worked as a correspondent based in Hong Kong for three years.

Prior to that, Stevens was a financial editor of the South China Morning Post newspaper in Hong Kong. Before coming to the territory, he spent six years in London as an economics editor for the Press Association, and was also a correspondent for the Australian Financial Review.
