Adventurer, author and award-winning photographer, Brian O'Malley has entertained, empowered, and energized hundreds of audiences. By drawing parallels from his experiences, his multi-media presentations inspire audiences to better handle the everyday challenges and adventures of life. Using a spectacular blend of photography, music, and personal stories, Brian illustrates the importance of living life to the fullest.
Brian O’Malley began in career in Law Enforcement at the age of 16 with an Explorer Post. He became a full time Police Cadet at 18 and on his 21st birthday, he was sworn in as a police officer. As a member of the SWAT Team, he trained at the FBI Academy in special tactics. Brian became one of the first Police Officer/EMTs. He was also an ancillary member of the Bomb Squad. Drawing from his extensive climbing experience, Brian was also a member of the Arapahoe Rescue Patrol, training the team in technical rescue. And, with a passion for outdoor adventures, Brian guided expeditions around the world.
Brian went on to become a Firefighter/Paramedic. He retired from the Fire Service after building a reputation as one of the country’s leaders in Heavy Rescue innovation. Brian developed new equipment, techniques and training that influenced the direction of rescue in the Fire Service.
Brian was selected as a climbing member of the American Mt. Everest West Ridge Expedition team. That experience launched a whole new career as an internationally recognized keynote speaker and Certified Speaking Professional (CSP). His adventures have taken him on expeditions to Africa, Asia, North America, South America and the Himalaya.
Brian has been the keynote speaker for some of the most prominent associations and corporations around the world. His audiences have included AT&T, The Washington Post, IBM, Charles Schwab, State Farm Insurance, Nordstrom, National Geographic, Marriott, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and hundreds more.
I must say that our theme of challenging ourselves to view our future as equal to an ascent of Everest has worked better than we planned... They heard loud and clear that great challenges are really hard, and they have responded in what I guess is the best way possible, by saying, "Bring it on!"
"Brian's presentation uniquely combines photography, music, high adventure and personal experience to entertain, inform and inspire. Today, it's rare to find a professional speaker who can captivate an audience as well as Brian's presentation uniquely combines photography, music, high adventure and personal experience to e leave people with a lasting and meaningful message.
