Dr. Julian Hosp, born in 1986, is a former professional athlete, medical doctor, entrepreneur, cryptocurrency expert, keynote-speaker and bestseller author. He pursued his studies in Innsbruck as well as at a high school in Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States. During that time, he was a professional basketball player. A few years later, he became a professional kitesurfer for almost 10 years, where he was ranked among the Top 10 in the world. Later, he was a trauma surgeon in Austria before leaving that career in pursuit of his entrepreneurial desires. In 2012, he therefore moved to Hong Kong, Asia, with his girlfriend Bettina.
In 2013, Julian published the bestselling kitesurfing book called Kite-Tricktionary and two years later his inspiring and motivating work 25 Stories I Would Tell My Younger Self. At that time he was focussed on giving trainings to companies, teams and individuals on mental health and other key factors of success which he had learned from his time as professional athlete and medical doctor. Following his passion, in 2017, he published another bestselling book in German Grenzenlos Erfolgreich (Be Successful Beyond Limits).
Furthermore, Julian co-founded the Singapore based FinTech company TenX, which has developed a technology that makes cryptocurrencies spendable anytime anywhere by offering a debit card payment system to its users and has raised USD $80 million in its initial token sale in June 2017.
In December of that year, Julian launched his first blockchain and also bestselling book Crypto Currencies Simply Explained.
Other than that he was named one of the top Blockchain and Cryptocurrency experts to follow by Influencive in 2017. He is a frequently invited speaker at global Tech/FinTech and Entrepreneurship events as well as a regular commentator in the media on current blockchain trends, the future of cryptocurrency and disruptive technologies.
Being based in Singapore, but travelling most of the time for his business ventures, Julian pursues his passion for blockchain, sports and public speaking, all while maintain his laser-focus drive.
