Dr. Roger Selbert is one of the country's best known and most respected trend watchers. He is editor and publisher of Growth Strategies, a biweekly newsletter formerly known as FutureScan that since 1981 has been accurately anticipating and analyzing the entire spectrum of economic, demographic, social and marketplace trends shaping the future.
Dr. Selbert was corporate futurist at Security Pacific National Bank from 1981 to 1987. He is today an internationally recognized author, speaker and consultant on business, consumer, technological and workplace trends. Roger is a Principal of The Growth Strategies Group, a consulting firm that uses trend analysis to help companies pursue their visions of business, professional and personal growth.
Roger holds a Masters and Ph.D. in International Relations from USC, where he was a Fulbright scholar, Haynes fellow and European Commission grantee. He earned his undergraduate degree in history from Bowdoin College and has also attended the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
Dr. Selbert has served on the Conference Board's Marketing Research Council, the Long-Range Planning Committee of the Los Angeles Central City Association, and chaired the Southern California Research Council Report on "Southern Californiain the 21st Century."
